Volunteer at IAS 2017
The IAS Conference on HIV Science is the largest open scientific conference on HIV/AIDS-related issues. This year, we invite 150 to 200 volunteers to participate and gain international experience in the conference in Paris, France, from 19 to 26 July 2017.
Whether you are interested in knowing more about HIV and AIDS related issues, sharing experiences and being inspired by people from different background or simply enjoy lending a helping hand, the success of IAS 2017 depends heavily on you. Come and join us for this great opportunity!
Volunteers duties and benefits
Volunteers help coordinate programme activities, greet visiting delegates, assist with registration, act as guides during the conference, staff various offices and activities, and perform other crucial tasks. Training and support from the conference volunteer coordinators will be provided prior to the start of the event.
Volunteers receive free access to conference sessions when not on duty, a lunch each working day, and will also receive a certificate of appreciation.
Volunteers who completed their mission are also offered 1 year IAS free membership.
Volunteers from other countries
Volunteers from countries other than France will be required to meet French customs and immigration requirements for visitors.
The conference secretariat is unfortunately not able to offer any financial assistance or an official Letter of Invitation to help with visas. It is the sole responsibility of each volunteer to make their own visa arrangements.
Volunteers are responsible for their own accommodation and travel costs.
